The Scoop Ice Cream Parlor in Pismo Beach

I’ve been coming to the scoop for years and it’s the best ice cream shop in Pismo!!! Love the new look and the owners are super nice! Highly recommend getting a Rocky Road milkshake 😋🍦😉

Extremely rude service. My daughter has an egg allergy and we stopped in here and wanted to know if the ice cream had egg in it (some does, some doesn’t) or if they had any vegan flavors. The woman behind the counter wouldn’t even talk to us and just shooed us away as soon as we asked the question. Perhaps that’s the norm around here but we are definitely used to better customer service when it comes to our kids allergies. Would not come back.

Excellent Service, great hard scoop ice cream

Good ice cream, fast service.

Ordered a half vanilla/half coffee malt . Asian lady was horrible at listening. Had attitude, made a runny shake with no malt. Got angry when I asked if she put the malt. Said we did not ask, when we did. I'm Asian, and I dont understand why it was so difficult to understand the order. The service was horrible. Would not recommend it to anyone, not even homeless.

They dont give tiny dog cones anymore. 1 star off.

Staff is really stupid and logically dumb. When you go in there, make sure they repeat your order. In addition, the prices are obscenely expensive. Do not recommend this place.

Love this ice cream shop! I was happy to see the remodeling done! Looks great and the ice cream and staff are great too! I highly recommend it!

Cute shop for a quick scoop. Lots of flavors to choose from. We had a banana split, which is the way to do, if you ask us! The banana split is also great for those on a budget, because for $6.95 you get a full banana, 3 scoops of the flavors of your choice, and all the toppings. One cone with 2 scoops is a dollar less. Just makes more sense to split the banana split, plus it's super yummy!

The ice cream is outclassed by many store bought brands.

The ice cream is very good but the portions are too small for the price.

The ice cream was good but the service not good total attitude from I believe the older man might be the owner. He is not a people person and should retire. Customers go and is what keeps them even in business. Pismo has gone downhill along with service. Not returning.

Ice cream was amazing. Only issue is that the service is super slow. Definitely recommend it to everyone!!

Great prices and a wide variety of ice cream flavors! Not the most flavorful ice cream I’ve had, but the strawberry was very delicious! Definitely worth checking out, but not the best ice cream I’ve ever had.

Been coming here for over 40 years. The new owners have revamped the place and it's fun, clean and bright. A must see place for ice cream all year long!!!

Ice cream shop has been there since I was a kid so I enjoy going in there still

He put on a face that was saying it all...."oh my gosh can you hurry up" but they had such a huge selection of all of my favs. He was a little rude. We had to wait until he was done talking to his friend

Owners were nice, but ice cream is Breyers. Not homemade and there is no soft serve.

This has always been a go to place for our family. The owners are real sweet hearts, and care about people. Can I nit pick on this business, sure, but why? This is a home town favorite, and should be visited ....

Slow service and out of Vanilla on a weekend! Also their Flavor selection could use an update.

Small, but yummy. Great customer service, but feeding your whole family, even their smallest available size might put a dent in your wallet, but being so close to the beach the prices didn't suprise me

Got sick , very dirty place

GREAT ICE CREAM! My family has been coming here since I was a child. The staff is friendly and enjoys chatting with the tourists. The only down size is space. The store resembles a hallway and there is not much space to enjoy your ice cream. This makes taking a large family difficult, especially if there are others there.

A local ice cream shop that has been around for years. They serve Dreyer's ice cream flavors. Friendly service.

It's a cute, classic little shop! The smoothies are delicious! The inside area could use a little work, but if you're practical and care only about the icy treats, then it shouldn't be a big deal. Besides, it's run by good people 🙂

Quick service nice ice cream

Love the new decor, fast and friendly service. There are other places in town you can have ice cream or frozen yogurt, but the Scoop is a classic Pismo experience.

Very busy with hard to reach parking. Ice Cream is Dreyers.

We came at 11:40 and waited for the Ice cream shop to open. The shop open at 12:00 and at 12:10 still noone was there. I watched patrons go there and leave.

This place is a joke. Any place would be better than this one. Took 10 minutes to scoop ice cream. Bad service, no place to sit, uncomfortable all around.

Good selection of for a small parlor , but dont expect to get full scoops if you order a sundae! Service was polite
